Just in case anyone was wondering (if at all), I'm still alive, barely. Sorry for the "spam" here, but I figure people can ignore this thread if they don't care. I'm still active on the Berkeley-Haas threads though, haha.
School's been a bit insane since just before spring break. I surely signed up for way too many things this semester. Here's a warning to all of you going into b-school, LISTEN to your 2nd years when they tell you to only participate in leadership for maybe 1-2 clubs and don't take on too many project courses. I didn't listen and now I'm suffering (but loving it at the same time... maybe I'm a masochist?
)
Let's see, I'm taking:
- 3 core classes (Spring B turns out to be the hardest and most time consuming of the 4 core half-semesters, and all of my classmates are barely surviving this half-semester)
- 3 project classes, one consulting project for a foreign client (for our Int'l Biz Dev program), one business plan for our entrepreneurship class, and one independent study paper for a C-level exec at a big gaming company. Everything is due the 2nd week of May, ugh!
- 2 major leadership roles - Together they take up about 10-20 hours of my time a week
- 2 minor leadership roles - still take up probably 3-5 hours a week
- Job search - each interview is like a 2 full-day market research prep to sound knowledgeable during the interview. I am happy to say that I finally got an offer from both Facebook and LucasArts, and will be working in my dream industry this summer in SF with LucasArts. Woot!
So, hopefully that explains why I haven't been able to keep up with GMATClub and have been MIA (plus my email notifier is not working, weird). I still love you guys and plan to be back to help out this summer!
Drop me a PM if you ever want to reach me quickly, as long as the email notifier works again.
BTW, I'm very proud of what all the new leaders of GMATClub have done so far. Keep up the good work!
