I missed this one.
In an effort to improve the quality of patient care, Dr. Lydia Temoscho is directing one of several clinical research projects that seek to determine the extent that psychological counseling helps to supplement the medical treatment of serious disease.
A. seek to determine the extent that psychological counseling helps to supplement
B. seek to determine how helpful psychological counseling is in supplementing

I go with B. When you have a compound subject, don't you have to conjugate the verb with the one subject immediately preceding the verb ( in this case, several research projects )? Since several research projects can perform the action of seeking, the verb seek should be plural. Between A and B, I chose B because A the extent that is not idiomatic.

One of plural subject + is + plural verb. This leaves us with A and B
I bleieve A is wordy. B is concise.

I think it is E.
The sentence after "that" describes the specific project not the group of projects, hence the verb should be singular.

B is the best.
'seek' refers to the project not 'one of the projects'. furthermore, B is concise and direct.
"..in supplementing" is the best

pschycological counselling helps to suppliment is correct
pschycological counselling is helpful to suppliment is unidiomatic
The infinitive "to" should assit the verb "helps" and not the adjective "helpful" The infinitive "to" is not acting as a preposition in the first case. In the second case it does.

One of several clinical research projects that seek ,so C, D, and E are out. Between A and B, A uses the wrong idiom, it should be the extent to which, therefore the answer is B.

The part of the sentence after "seek" is describing what ALL those projects are seeking.

ETS has disclosed 9 paper tests, which are essentially retired GMAT tests.
I believe that ETS is now only providing 3 tests for download instead of nine. Not sure.. Check out http://www.mba.com for more info on practice material.
