I need help on the following two questions (the second one is just a matter of setting it up, but advice would be very appreciated).
1)

(1/5)^m * (1/4)^18=1/2(10)^35

then m=

a) 17
b) 18
c) 34
d) 35
e) 36

35 happens to be the correct answer, but I am not sure how you get there. Please explain if anyone knows.

2) If the speed of X meters per second is equivalent to the speed of y kilometers per hour, what's y in terms of x?
Note: 1 kilometer=1000 meters)

a) 5x/18
b) 6x/5
c) 18x/5
d) 60x
e) 3,600,000x

18x/5 happens to be the right answer

X m/s =>
X m/s * (1 km / 1000 m) = X / 1000 (km/s)

3600 secs = 1 hour

X/1000 (km/s) * 3600s/1hr = 3.6X (km/hr) = 18/5 X (km/hr)
