I noticed that toward the end of the OG DS and PS questions, it becomes pretty important to be able to factor expressions such as a^4-b^4.
Or a^2-b^2.

I don't have any of these memorized, and I think it's probably better just to memorize them.

Does anyone know the quick way to factor them, or can anyone point to a list somewhere online?

Hallo Stolfi, i will try to give you a hand here
1)A^4-B^4= (A^2-B^2)(A^2+B^2)
2)A^2-B^2= (A-B)(A+B)
you can use 2) to factor first factor in 1). I do not think it is possible to factor A^2+B^2, since it is equal to (A+B)(A+B)-2AB=(A+B)^2-2AB

Stoolfi, memorizing will save you sometime on test day.
