I realized that I am missing many of the Inequality Problems [#permalink]  22 Sep 2008, 07:36
I realized that I am missing many of the Inequality Problems in the actual exam and prep tests. While simple inequality problems in the guides are good enough for me to handle. I am having hard time handling complex inequality problems. Considering various complex values for X and Y is typically getting out of control for me.

Walker suggested the graphic approach. I will try to follow that in coming days.

Did anyone follow a very good material on this area? I did not find required amount of coverage in any of the prep guides. How is the Manhattan guide? Did anyone find it useful ?

I have the book, I got it because I was curious to see if I missed anything, it was a big disappointment, the chapter on inequalities is just very basic and thin, the examples are really easy, you can learn more just by looking at the approaches on this board. But get it if you are really curious. The graphical approach is good, but it seems to take more time than necessary if you are not efficient with it.

When I studied for the GMAT, I didn't want to pay for a book about inequalities. Instead, I found quite a bit of free content online to be helpful:

1. GMAT Study Guide: Inequalities
2. Understanding Inequalities
3. Alegebra Section: Inequalities
