I seem to have trouble with two types of SC questions - was hoping you guys could help.

The first is when there are comparisons made with numbers. I always seem to have trouble with fewer vs. less and those types of questions. I know you're supposed to see if it's countable, but I always seem to get these types of questions wrong.

The second type are questions which have very short underlined portions. Any good strategies for those types of questions?

Thanks!

One(or may be 2) good read of MGmat SC guide, and you'll know the difference!

I agree with piyatiwari read the Manhattan Sentence Correction Book. Specifically reference the following chapters:

The Regular Comparisons Chapter and the Advanced Comparisons Chapter.
Also refer to the odds and ends chapter it has good information on quantity phrases.
