I think S in SVP = super quick [#permalink]

So I have all these managers of one sort or another writing recs for me. Then I have this one guy who is a very important SVP who is just about the busiest person you could possibly imagine. All these managers take for ever to get these recs done. Mr. SVP is cleaning out 3 all this morning and all at once.
Mark, what you say shows why he can survive being an SVP. He is on top of the game. Once he commits to something, he knows he can jam it into his schedule. Time management is an often overlooked skill for managers. And in the "attention economy" it's becoming increasingly important.
PS: if the SVP is female replace he/him with she/her. I'm too lazy to edit.
The chairman of the company I work for comes prepared for every meeting - with a printout of the material/slides and notes marked all around. He then asks precise questions and gets his answers - it's pretty amazing to see the guy who is so busy, actually come prepared for meetings better than most other attendees. Tells you something about time management and commitment. _________________
