I think the key to alot of english Questions has nothing to [#permalink] New post 30 May 2003, 08:51
I think the key to alot of english Questions has nothing to do with English but has something to do with the meaning of the sentence.

Don't they want to see the entire thing listed by using and insted of or?
Note: This isn't the exact thing due to copyright laws.
The people have ordered companies to restrict the use of the word " natural" to foods that do not contain color or flavor additives, chemical preservatives, ( or nothing that has been) orchestrated.

Why is XYZ wrong?

e) and anything
Hmm.... Natural does not have no color or flavor additives, chemicals. Stop here...
does the sentence say natural includes color or flavor and chemicals.

Using and would have to include all conditions so does that by itself make the conditons all together.

Finally, I think I got it.

contain color or ..... flavor add(s), chemicals, or anything synthesized.

That is long or list??

Sentence Correction [#permalink] New post 02 Jun 2003, 11:08
The commission has directed advertisers to restrict the use of the word "natural" to foods that do not color or flavor additives, chemicals, (or nothing that has been) synthesized.

Question Answer:
5) and anything

Why can't we use and here?
