I am a canadian 4th yr undergrad soon to graduate (gpa 3.8/4.0). It seems like I have missed fall 2014 admissions since I got rejected from my research based masters program, 640-680 gmat. I could apply to other course based masters, but i feel that it isn't what I want. I really want to pursue my PhD in Finance.

I am thinking about taking a year and working and studying for the GMAT. Do you know of any programs that accept PhD students directly from undergrad? I hope to achieve a +700 GMAT score.

I am open to programs in the USA or Canada.

Depends upon the program. Most programs do not require the experience. Although experience in the Industry
+point. However not mandatory, you can have research and publication experience, which you can add by working for firm.
Also i would suggest you to have look of PhD threads posted in the forums, will of help. Again go to FT rankings 2014, guide how to choose your program. Also ask yourself about the research interest you have and search for the author or publications then follow the Professor to University; its simple.
A score of 700 is good to apply for the PhD program.

Thanks

 :-D
