26. Our archeological team which consisted of 30 specialists traveled to the Amazon to
search for advanced civilizations that were thought to have thrived in the thick jungle.
a) team which consisted of 30 specialists traveled
b) team, consisting of 30 specialists, were traveling
c) team, that consisted of 30 specialists, traveled
d) team which were consisting of 30 specialists are traveling
e) team of 30 specialists which were to travel

OA - C

Are we not supposed to use "that" only with restrictive cluases, ones that can not be ommited? What is the importance of the 30 specialist.... why couldnt we used which consisted of 30 speicalist travelled (should we used a comma before which and after specialist?)

The answer is dubious. I will prefer which here. However it doesnt looks like the option i.e. comma is missing before which.

The crux of the sentence is -
Our archeological team traveled to the Amazon.

The size of the team is secondary information.

Its A Vs C. To make a sensible answer here-
A - add comma before "which"
or
C - remove comma before "that"

It must be A.

I have not seen before offical answers to be correct with "...., that....," , before which it must be a comma.
