A tells us that K is positive or negative 2. Insufficient.
B tells us that K is less than 1. Insufficient.
The two ststements together tell us that K is negative 2. Sufficient.

from 2, we know k<1, hence, from 1, K=-2

Sorry to bring up old ones but I'm getting conflicting answers.

If -10 < k < 10, is K > 0 ?

(1) k2 > 4

(2) 1 - k > 0


1: k > 2 so A is suff
2: k < 1 so B is insuff

A?

is k2 > 4 suppose to be k^2 = 4?

Yes, but you forgot to account for (-2)^2 which also = 4. So A is not sufficient

The original statement 1 says k2 > 4...is this wrong? is it suppose to say k^2=4?

Yes, I believe k2 should have been k^2. Otherwise, he would have written 2 in front of k, or 2k
