If 3 people are randomly selected from 5 men and 3 women, what is the probability that at least one man is selected?

1-1/56 = 55/56.

Whenever you see "At least" Think of "1 minus"

In this case the probability of choosing women only,
is (3C3)/(8C3) = 1/56.
You can also get it this way: 3/8 * 2/7 * 1/6 =1/56.
It's like trying to pick 3 women one by one.

1-1/56 = 55/56.
