No worries kairoshan,
\sqrt{((x+4)^2)}=3
Then x+4=-3 OR x+4=3 x=-7 or -1
-7-4=-11 -1-5=-5
ANSWER: A. -11
What is the OA?

the given expression reduces to (x+4)^2 - 3^2=0 (x+4+3)(x+4-3)=0 (x-4+11)(x-4+5)=0 x-4=-11 or -5 Ans. A

Square root of a square is +ve or -ve. But it is given that Square of a square has +ve value then how can x+4 = -3 ?????

The equation reduces to: (x+4)^2 = 3^2
So taking the square root on the RHS we get: x+4 = +/- 3
Now there are 2 possible values: x+ 4 = 3 and x+4 = -3
You can directly subtract 8 from both the equations to get the answer: x-4 = (3-8) and x-4 = (-3-8)
Therefore (x-4) has possible values -5 and -11.
