only possible value for K is 3

yes i agree dj - 3 is the only value for k. however, 3*2400 = 7200

however you need to add nk to 2400. 3*14=42

n+k=17

72.42 = K( 24 + n/100 )

72 + 42/100 = 24K + nk/100

24k = 72 so k = 3
nk/100 = 42/100 so nk = 42 since k=3 n=14
k+n = 14+3 = 17
