If a and b are integers, what is the value of b ?

(1) ab = 32. This one is clearly insufficient: consider a=1 and b=32 or vise-versa.

(2) a^4 = b. Also clearly insufficient.

(1)+(2) Substitute the value of b from (2) into (1) a*a^4 = 32 --> a^5 = 32 --> a = 2 --> b = 32/a = 16. Sufficient.

Answer: C.
