Question tells us all a, b, and c are -ve. Also given |a| > |b| > |c| As on divison -ve sign will cancel out so we need not bother about sign. In effect biggest number divided by smallest will be the largest ratio.
So answer should be a/c.
IMO D.

Please comment... all a, b, c are -ve (<0) -ve/-ve is always +ve.... it can not be a -ve fraction. its D. a/c.... if you get confused in these type of questions, try example values to confirm your answer. a,b,c = -8, -4, -2 a/b = 2 b/c = 2 c/a = 1/4 a/c = 4

Considering the sign, because a, b, and c all are –ve, all options a) to d) must be +ve.
So the greatest quotients is a/c, since a is the largest number (neglecting sign), c is the smaller number (neglecting sign).
Even if a, c are fraction, the above also applies.

D.
Just put in numbers and you´ll see that D has the greatest quotient...

Thank you ! Regards! Abhi Maybe you can try the Manhattan book for inequality? I haven't tried that. I also found the inequality question quite tricky. I did not read the Manhattan book. My appraoch is to do more. If you made it wrong, read the explanation, make sure you fully understand. Hope this helps a bit

by the way you should know your math definitions. 42/7= 6 42=dividend 7= divisor 6= quotient now memorize that! so you understand what quotient means as for inequalities with variables, best way is to plug in numbers (simple numbers)
