1) \frac{(2a+2ab)}{27}

2)\frac{(a+2ab)}{3}

3)\frac{(a+ab)}{300}

4)\frac{(a+ab)}{3}

5)\frac{ab}{3}

First, let's set up an equation:

No matter how long the phone call is, we always have to pay a cents for the first minute. Every minute beyond the first minute costs 2a/3 cents.

Cost of phone call = a + (b-1) * 2a/3

Now we have to simplify this equation.

3a/3 + (b-1) * 2a/3
(3a + (b-1) * 2a) / 3
(3a + 2ab - 2a) / 3
(a + 2ab) / 3

Cost = (1)(a) + ((b-1)/(1/2))(a/3)
Cost = a + (2b - 2)(a/3)
Cost = a + (2ab -2a)/3
Cost = (3a - 2a + 2ab) / 3
Cost = (a + 2ab)/3
