Another vote for 6.

But I must admit that I've come up to an answer through substitution. 1/2=2/4=4/8.

Could somebody give me a hint how to find the answer using maths, please.

Lyn,
Remember always think of one variable substitute another. It helps, I forget that at the beginning though.

1 b c
--- = --= --
b c 8

b^2= c c^2= 8b
b^2 ^2= 8b
b^4= 8b
b^3= 8
b= 2
and substitute
it in for
b^2=c
2^2=c
4=c

Please buy the paper tests for all of us to share! :P :lol: :-D :wink:
