n =10

7x + 77y = 350

7(x+11y) = 350

x+11y = 50

x=6 y=4

[quote="trivikram"]n =10

7x + 77y = 350

7(x+11y) = 350

7 x 6 + 77 x4 = 42 + 308 =350

also

7 x 17 + 77 x 3 = 350

n = 20

what are the options?

7 x 17 + 77 x3 =

Good catch...There are multiple values

x + 11y =50

17 , 3 as you mentioned is the other set

x= 28 and y =2 So n= 30

x=39 and y= 1 so n=40

Also x=50 and y=0 is also possible

So n=10,20,30,40,50

7 = x,
77 = 11x,
350= 50x

350= 50x = 11x+(50-11) x = 11x+ 39x, n = 40
350= 50x = 11 (2) x+ [50-11 (2) x] = 11 (2) x+ 28x, n = 30.

so on...... n is 40

350= 50x = 11 (2) x+ [50-11 (2) x] = 11 (2) x+ 28x, n = 30.

so on...... n is 40
you rule Pro))
