If, in a baseball game, a single picher can decide to throw either a 100mph fastball or 60mph knuckle ball on any pitch, how much less time, in seconds, does the batter have from when the ball is released as a fastball than when the ball is released as a knuckle ball? (Assume where the batter's point of contact is exactly 60ft away from the pitcher's release point. 5280ft = 1 mile.)

A. \(\frac{6}{22}s\)

B. \(\frac{7}{22}s\)

C. \(\frac{8}{22}s\)

D. \(\frac{9}{22}s\)

E. \(\frac{15}{22}s\)

\(Time = \frac{Distance}{Speed}\)

And
Slower Speed = More Time
Faster Speed = Less Time

Conversions => 1 Mile = 5280ft; 1 Hour = 3600s

Therefore,

Difference in Times = \(\frac{(60*3600)}{(5280*60)} - \frac{(60*3600)}{(5280*100)} = \frac{360}{528} - \frac{(6*36)}{528} = \frac{36*(10-6)}{528} = \frac{36*4}{24*22} = \frac{6}{22}\) (A)
