If Martin introduces an amendment to Evan's bill, then Johnson and Lloyd will vote the same way. If Evans speaks against Lloyd's position, Johnson will defend anyone voting with him. Martin will introduce an ammendment to Evan's bill only if Evans speaks against Johnson's position.
If the above statements are true, each of the following are true EXCEPT
A If Evans speaks against Johnson's position, Lloyd will not vote with Johnson.
B If Martin introduces an amendment to Evan's bill, then Evan has spoken against Johnson's position.
C If Evans speaks against Johnson's position, Matin will not introduce an amendment to Evan's bill.
D If Matrin introduces an amendment to Evan's bill, then either Johnson will not vote with Lloyd or Evans did not speak against Johnson's position.

Please explain your choices.
When was looked at this question, i was actually staring at it and i guess my mind was completely blank. :( can anyone please explain how do we approach this kind of problem. also, can anyone tell if it is a real gmat type of problem.

I hate this type of questions. I do not recall anyone saying that it is a GMAT type question.

Any ways I owuld have chosen A.

Just read thru the first choice....matched ....Lloyd will infact vote with Johson....A contradicts the first rule...

This is certainly NOT a GMAT type question although it is a brutal one. I strongly think this question is wronly worded. It should read as follows: If the above statements are true, each of the following are false EXCEPT. Can you please double check this question?
A, C and D directly contradict the stems. Only B is true.
A) contradicts the first sentence and last sentences combined
C) contradicts the last sentence
D) contradicts the first and last sentences

A for me.

Evans speaks against Johnson's position --> Martin indroduces amendment --> Lloyd and Johnson vote the same way (contradits A).

Yeah, I think the same way as Paul. The question should be "each of the following are false EXCEPT" then the ans is straightforward B.

I am really sorry guys, the question stem is -
If the above statements are true, each of the following can be true EXCEPT-

I was actually typing this question from a Manhattan GMAT test and they have no option to copy paste from their test to word.

The question is wrong. SHould read 'False EXCEPT'.. Then ans is B,
