stmt1,

v cant taken on -ve values as this will alter the condition in the stem, consider v=-1, m=3, p=4, this will make mv>vp

only +ve values of v will satisfy the condition-- suff

stmt 2,
since mv and pv should ve -ve, if m is -ve, v should be > 0, to make mv -ve.--suff , Hence D.
