Assuming there's no typographical error, then (1) is sufficient, while (2) is totally irrelevant.

NO typo...This question is from GMATprep.

I think the right answer is A. But the answer in GMATprep is B. So confused !!!

Just got this in gmatprep too. This HAS to be a typo or error in the software.
