(1) 14 and 35 are factors of N
How can we determine from the factors above that the units digit of N is zero?

Consider the prime factors of 14 i.e. 14=2*7
Consider the prime factors of 35 i.e 35=5*7
If the given number has 14 & 35 as its factors, it should be divisible by 2*5*7
i.e 10 * 7
Basically, the given number is a multiple of 10 and therefore the units digit must be a zero.
