p^3>=-125

p>=-5 (since p is an integer, we can eliminate possibilities of fraction)


St 1:

3p+16=<4

3p=<-12

p=<-4

So p can be -4 or -5


Insufficient

Statement 2:


p^2>16

So p>4 or p<-4

Insufficient

Statement 1 &2:

p can be -4 or -5

p<-4

So p=-5

Sufficient

Rephrasing question p>=-5 then p=??
(1)3p + 16 ≤ 4
then p<=-4
p= -4 or -5-------->insuff..

(2) p is not equal to 4 or -4; p can be any values >4 or <-4

combining both p=-5--------->suff..

I am confused why answer is C.

Isn't statement 2 enough?

Given If \( p^3 ≥ −125\), and p is an integer

this means \(p ≥-5\)

Statement 2 says \(p^2 ≥ 16\)

this means \(p>4\) and \(p<-4\)

So with \(p ≥-5\), \(p>4\) and \(p<-4\)....... \(p = -5\) right?

Or am i missing something?

In statement 2, there is no unique value, it could be +4 or -4 that is why B not sufficient
