If p and q are positive integers, what is the value of q?

(1) $$q^{p-1} = 1$$ --> if $$p=1$$ then $$q^{p-1}=q^0=1$$, which means that $$q$$ could be ANY positive integer. Not sufficient.

(2) $$p = 1$$. Clearly insufficient as no info about $$q$$.

(1)+(2) Nothing new: $$p=1$$ so $$q^{p-1}=q^0=1$$, which means that $$q$$ could be ANY positive integer. Not sufficient.
