If set consists of even number of integers, is the median of set negative?

1.Exactly half of all elements of set are positive.
2.The largest negative element of set is -1.

I reached correc conclusion, however my answer doesn't match with OA.

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
