If T = 5/9 * (K - 32), and if T = 290, then K =

(A) 1,738/9
(B) 322
(C) 490
(D) 554
(E) 2,898/5

Given that $$290=\frac{5}{9} * (K - 32)$$ --> $$290*\frac{9}{5}=K - 32$$ --> $$522=K-32$$ --> $$K=554$$.

290=\frac{5}{9}(K-32)
58*9=k-31
i rounded 9 to 10 so
580-58+31=k
then i choose d, no point in doing calculations to waste time

$$290 = \frac{5}{9} * (k-32)$$

$$k = 290*\frac{9}{5} + 32$$

k = 58*9 + 32

Answer would be ending with 4; only option D = 554 fits in
