If the average of four positive integers is 30, how many integers of these four are greater than 25 ?
1. One of the integers is 100
2. The median of the four integers is 25
The question is not tough, however, I just want to check if my understanding is wrong or there is a problem with this question.
As far as I know, the two statements in DS can not contradict. They both have to be true. I do not see a scenario that both I and II can be true.
II If median is 25, there are only two possibilties:
X, 25, 25, Y
X, 30, 35, Y
either way, there is no way that Statement I can be satisfied ! If one of the integers is 100, then the sum of the other three has to be 20
All things are possible to those who believe.
