I think it is C!
In order to figure out the what percent of the combined membership will be male we should know total number of members
Hence 1st and 2 statements alone are insuff
1st and 2 together---->total 36 members 25 of them male approx 66.6 %

At any point do they tell you that the sets are mutually exclusive? As a result, it must be E, because there could be overlap in either the members, or male members.

I think it is a very ambigous question....
I suppose the question does not tell the total number of members in each of the clubs....
Just tells us of the 16 members 15 male of the 20 members 10 male.... But it does not necessarilly mean that it is the total number of members...
We cannot assume anything in the GAMT.... except for verbal part
However, strange that this question comes from Gmat Prep...

Hi,
In that case we may also assume that the membership of the clubs could have been comprised of children, animals, robots, etc....
On GMAT Quant section there shouldn't be any such out-of-scope assumptions.
I can't see, how it can be E. Is there any OE?

I originally went for 'c' also, but after reading the question again, i came across the first word " If". So that means that we cannot assume that the classes are indeed combined.
This is a rather odd question.
I wonder why we can't get a letter that states.. "from this day on, no GMAT test is required"....

The drama and music club could have common members who are male and will be counted twice. The question will be complete if it stated that no male is part of both clubs.
