If triangle ABC is a right triangle and C(hypotenuse) is 20, what is the perimeter of this triangle?

1) Area is 100
2) ABC is a isosceles right triangle

1) 1/2 * AB * BC = 100
AB*BC = 200


Also AB^2 + BC^2 = 400
=> 200^2/BC^2 + BC^2 = 400
Let BC = X
=> 200^2/x + x = 400
=> x^2 -400x + 200^2 = 0
=> (x-200)^2 = 0
=> x = 200

Hence BC^2 = 200
BC = 10(2)^1/2

And AB = 10(2)^1/2

2) AB= BC
AB^2 + BC^2 = 400
2AB^2 = 400
AB^2 = 200
AB = BC = 10(2)^1/2
