could be or could not be.

(X - 1)^2 <= 1
o<= x=>2

if x = 2, |X-1| = 1.
if x = 0.5, |X-1| < 1.

(X - 1) ^2 <= 1 gives you -1<=(X-1)<=1 i.e 0<=X<=2
With the above values

|X-1| <= 1 is TRUE and
|X-1| < 1 may be TRUE or FALSE

Watch for the equal sign.
