I think it's A

if you cross multiply you'll get xy=6

with #1) we know that y >= 3 so x must be <=2 in order to get 6 = suff.
with #2) we know that y<= 4, which means y could be 3, and x could be 2, OR y could be 1, then x would equal six. - Insuff.

So I think it's A.

Answer is A

If x/2=3/y, 6 = xy, is x<y?

(1) y ≥ 3 ==> x ≤ 2 ==> x < y. Sufficient
(2) y ≤ 4 ==> x ≥ 1.5 ==> x could be 3, y could be 2. x could be 2, y could be 3. Insufficient

Given xy = 6.
If y = 3 then x = 2 so x < y.
So has long as y keeps increasing x should keep decreasing to maintain xy=6. Hence X< y. Stmt 1 is suff.

Stmt 2. Let y = 4 then x = 1.5 and x < y.
Let y = - 600 then x = - 1/100 and X > y. So stmt 2 insufficient.

Ans. A
