If x and y are positive is 4x>3y

1) X>Y-X

2) (X/Y) < 1

I am really having difficult with inequality type DS questions... Any key things I should note when doing these? Any tips!?

1) X > (Y-X)
X > Y/2
So not sure wich is grater.

2) (X/Y) < 1
x<y. we only know that y > x but still not sure whether 4x>3y.

togather also not sure whether 4x>3y because:
if x = 3.1, and y = 4.00, 4x > 3y. true
if x = 3, and y = 4.3333, 4x < 3y. not true

in both cases, y > x > x/2.

Therefore, considering x and y are +ves, it should be E..
