IMO A
stmt1:
x^3/y < 1 , since x and y are positive.

x^3 < y => x<y.
suffi

stmt2:
(X^(1/3)) / y < 1
x^ (1/3) < y
taking cube on both sides
x < y^3
when x =1, y =2, x<y and x<y^3.
when x=4, y=2, x>y and x<y^3.
insuffi

We can take x=1/2, y=1/2, then x=y.
We can take x=2, y=10 then x<y.

stmt 2:
x<y^3.
If y=2, x=2 then x=y.
If y=2, x=4 then x>y.
Insufficient

Combining, we have the same problem. Insufficient.

good point... i forgot to consider the rational part of the real number... it is E , i agree.

What does real number mean. GMAC never uses such terminology as far as I know.
