If x is a prime number, what is the value of x ?

(1) x < 15
(2) (x - 2) is a multiple of of 5

OA is E.

Are'nt the 2 statement taken together suff.

1 and 2 should yield 7 for answer.

Where am I getting it wrong ?

x=2 works as well :)... x-2 = 0 is also a multiple of 5 :)

If x is a prime number, what is the value of x ?

(1) x < 15
(2) (x - 2) is a multiple of of 5

fro one

x belongs to { 2,3,5,7,11,13}...insuff

from two

x = 5k+2
k is odd or zero

x could = 2 or 7 17.......insuff

both together

x could be 2 or 7....insuff my answer is E

Should we consider negatibe nos. for prime. eg. -3
