I tried putting in different values..

one more thing, as 2 and 3 are factors of 6 eq, 2x+3 or 3x+2 will not be divisible to 6, anytime, any value!!

Plugging in works best!

y = 3x+2

if x = 1 y=5 knock off 5
x=2 y=8 knock off 8
x=3 y=11
x=4 y=14 knock off 7
x=5 y=17
x=6 y=20 knock off 4

Left with c y=6

y is not a multiple of 3, actually it's 2 more than a multiple of 3. Therefore, since y is not a multiple of 3 it cannot be a multiple of 6 either.
