Q: is x – y > x + y? --> is 2y<0? --> is y<0?

(1) x=8 --> 8-y>10 --> y<-2. Sufficient.

(2) y=-20. Sufficient.

Answer: D.

stmt1: x = 8 => 8-y >10 => y<-2 so x - y is always going to be greater than 10 and x+y is always going to be less than 6 hence x-y>x+y proved
stmt2: y = -20 => x+20>10=> x>-10 => x-y is always greater than 10 and x+y is always greater than -30 so how this is suff?
