A. 6
B. 7
C. 8
D. 9
E. 10

B. if y>X+5 and Y and Z are consecutive that means that z>X+6. Considering that all are integers, the answer must be 7.

Hold the phone.. Upon further review I think the answer is 9 and here is why. If X is 4 that means that Y has to be 11. If Y is less than Z and both are odd that means that Z has to be 13 and the smallest difference is 9. An odd-even equals an odd. Therefore the smallest difference that is greater than 5 is 7. If Z is a consecutive odd integer that is greater than Y than the answer is 9.
