1. y>3, y = 999999
x <1/999999 -->x<1 sufficient

2. x< 3
2.1 x =0, x<1 correct
2.2 x= 2, x>1 not correct

Alright, let me give a shot at this one

Statement 1

y>3
xy<3

y-xy>0
y(x-1)>0

As y>3>0, then x-1>0 and x>1

Suff

Statement 2

Insuff

Hence A

Statement I is sufficient:

If y is greater than 3 then x has to be less than 1 for the product to be less than 3. x can be a negative number or a positive fraction.

Statement II is insufficient
x = 1.5 y = 1.5 ------ NO
x = 0.5 y = 1.5 ------- YES

Since x can be greater than 1 or less than 1 hence we are not sure.

Answer is A.
