For me (B)

Stat 1:
|x-3| >= y > Infinite couples of (x,y) works here.

INSUFF

Stat 2:
|x^3| <= -y
Since, y >= 0 and an absolute value is always >= 0,

y is forced to be 0. Thus |x^3| = 0 and Thereby x=0.

Would u clarify this one : 2)/x3/ <= -y ? :)

o /x3/ <= -y <=> |x*3| <= -y
or
o /x3/ <= -y <=> |x^3| <= -y
or
.... :)

if y>=0 what is the value of x??

1)/x-3/>=y

2)/x-3/ <= -y

from stem y is positive or zero else not

from one

/x-3/>=y thus /x-3/ > = 0 ie x>=3........it is a range thus insuff

from two

/x-3/ < = -y

we know as a concept /x-3/ is +ve

and from given y is positive or zero

thus -y can only be = zero

thus x-3 = 0 and x=3

answer is B
