If y is an integer and y = |x|+x what is the value of y?
1. x < 0
2. y < 1 _________________

now it is given y=x+|x|.
hence,y should be 2x(if x is positive) or else 0.
in no case y is not going to be a negative integer...
it is given y<1
hence the value of y should be a nonnegative integer.
0 is also a non-negative integer hence,we can say tht the value of y=0.
hence statement 2 is also suffucient.
therefore,the answer is D
