If y is greater than or equal to 0, what is the value of x?

(1) |x-3| is greater than or equal to y

(2) |x-3| is less than or equal to -y

Y is 0 or a positive number. Now we want to find X.

1. |x-3| is greater than or equal to y

x could be any real number and this could work

Insufficient

2. |x-3| is less than or equal to -y

|x-3| is always going to be 0 or a positive number
since Y is 0 or positive, -y is always going to be 0 or a negative number

Y must be 0 and |x-3| must be 0 as well. x = 3

Sufficient
