Imagine an assembly line with three inspection points A, B and C. Of every 10 unites inspected at point A, 2 are discarded as faulty. Of every 10 unites inspected at point B, 1 is discarded as faulty. Of every 8 unites inspected at point C, 1 is discarded as faulty. Of every 200 unites sent along the assembly line, how many are discarded at three inspection points.

Hi,
Think that the ans is : (2/10)*200+ (1/10)*160 + (1/8)*144=40+16+18=74

200 -> A takes out 20% -> 160 -> B takes out 10% -> 144 -> C takes out 100/8% -> 126 remain on the ine. So 74 are discarded
