I don't actually read the passages because they are so boring. I read the question and answers first, then skim the passage. This is the Princeton Review technique from Cracking the GMAT. I like them best for verbal prep.

With English not being your native tongue, that might still be a challenge, but if you can get the gist of the text, that helps. If your English really isn't strong, you might want to take some time off from GMAT prep and focus on improving your English skills. And read as much in English as you can, newspapers, magazines, etc.

Concentrate less on understanding the English and more on the strategies for answering the questions. Many of the questions have similar formats and you can generally work out a good strategy to solve them
