Hello everyone,
I took my first GMAT exam on 3rd Jan, and scored 690. Now I registered for another appointment - will be scheduled on 21st March - for 2 reasons:
1. Although 690 is enough for most b-schools I applied to, but my first preference is the MA in SIM at St. Gallen, where 710 is the average GMAT score.
2. I had only a few time to study for the first attempt (appr. 100 hours in 10 days), and I believe that I can improve my score.
On my first attempt I scored 690 with Q47, V38. As on the prep tests I scored Q49-50, I would like to reach that score, which would improve my overall score to 710-720. I would also like to improve my verbal score to 40, which can be accomplished if i'd practice more.
Now I have appr. 60 extra study hours and I'm interested in your opinion and tips on what areas should I concentrate and which books / tests should I read / practice.
For my 1st attempt I studied the followings:
- OG12
- Other books I read:
MGMAT Guides for SC, RC and CR, Cracking the GMAT
- Practice tests: Kaplan, GMAT Prep 1-2.
- Other practices: GMATClub iPad Tools
For the 2nd attempt I try to study the followings:
- Read through
MGMAT Guides for SC, RC and CR again
- Practicing OG12 Verbal and Math review
- GMAT Club Math tests
-
MGMAT practice tests
If you have any tips / hints for me, I would be grateful if you could share with me!
