Draw a diagram. You will find out that % that are Red+SizeA is 12.5%. % that are Blue+SizeB is 37.5%. Therefore, 37.5% is 3 times the 12.5% and 10 * 3 = 30. Answer is C

From the problem we know that 50 are size A and 50 are size B out of 100
Since 10 are Size A and Red 40 must be size A and Blue
But out of 100, 75 are Blue
then Blue and size B must be 75-40 = 35

I get 35 as the answer.

you're right. Kpadma did the same and I realized my error. Somehow I used %s and i erroneously assumed that there is an equal proportion of blue toys that were size A&B and the same was assumed of red toys

Hi satgates,

I am working and busy. Can you please wait for a day atleast to post the answer. I did the same mistake and got yelled ( almost ). You will loose a lot if you post the answer quickly because many people will not post their working once they see the answer and they might have a innovative method to solve it.

Thanks,
Anand.

35.

Drawing a tabular diag really speeds up the solution

R B
A 10 50

B 15 35 50

25 75 100

Initially I had difficulty in solving these kind of problems but once I started tabulating them I can solve even the hardest in < 1.5 min.

Hope this helps
