Hi!

There are no OG sentence questions that use the word "police" and I don't believe that there I've ever seen an example of an official GMAT SC question that uses the word. In fact, there are also no reading comp or critical reasoning questions in the OG that mention "police". Curious!

However, in common usage "police" is plural. "Police force", on the other hand, is singular.

e.g.:

The police are coming to take me away.

The entire police force is plotting against me.
