My shot .. I go for D.

In good years, the patchwork of green fields that surround the San Joaquin Valley town bustles with farm workers, many of them in the area just for the season.

(D) surround the San Joaquin Valley town bustle with farm workers, many of which -

bustle - used for plural. (as gree fields is plural).
which - also corresponds to the fields.

Whats the OA Boksana.?

I'm with A
It is the green fields which surround, not the patchwork. B and E are out
D) is out. Many of which does not properly refer to people; farmers
C) is out. Many of who. "who" refers to a single person and we cannot say "many of who" --> It's like you are dividing the one person into many
A) best answer. The last part is a noun phrase giving extraneous information to the independent clause. "them" also properly refers to farmers.

(A)
Subject-Verb Agreement Problem.

Patchwork - bustles
green fields - surround

(A) and (C) are left.
(A) correctly uses them to point to "farm workers"

I chose C.
IMO, the subject of the action verb "surround" is green fields.

I just checked out other site ,and the answer is B there. Can anybody clear the OA? I think B is right because in A conjunction is missing.

So now, there are 2 answers A and B that seem ok for this one.

I too feel it has to be B.
A would have been ok, if the sentences were joined by a semi-colon .
But here, it is only a comma. If sentences are joined by comma, they should have proper conjuctions like and, but etc.
