Reversion to...v~ing is the correct idiom.

A - Incorrect. ... reversion to...
B,C - Incorrect for the usage of ...back....
D is the correct answer.
E - Incorrect. ... reversion into...

Hence correct answer is D.

i am confused between A and D
whether reversion to the raising is correct or reversion to raise :?:

D is lacking ||ism.

A is || of Continuing ...... the raising of......

D is using to raise... which is not ||
